Acceptable Use Policy
These rules apply to everyone who uses Corom. They protect our Customers, their records and the Service itself. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Use the Service for its purpose
Use the Service to keep and report records for your organization’s recycling and brokerage work, as your organization has authorized you to.
Do not
- break the law, or help anyone else break it, through the Service;
- enter records you know are false, or change records to mislead a regulator, program operator, customer or buyer;
- upload material you do not have the right to share, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- upload information the Service does not need, such as Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, bank account numbers or health information;
- upload viruses or other harmful code;
- share your password, or give the site access code to anyone your organization has not authorized;
- try to get into accounts, sites or data you are not allowed to see, or get around sign-in, sign-in limits or other protections;
- probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission (see “Reporting a weakness” below);
- send so many requests, or such large ones, that the Service slows down for others, or collect data from it with automated tools other than those your organization has set up through the Service’s own API;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
Scales and other connected equipment
Scales, scripts and other equipment your organization connects to the Service must send only real readings for your organization, using the access your organization was given.
Reporting a weakness
If you believe you have found a security weakness, please tell us at the Contact page and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. Do not access, change or keep other people’s data while looking into it.
What happens if these rules are broken
We may remove material, suspend a user or, in serious cases, suspend an account, as our Terms of Service allow. Where we can, we tell the Customer first and give it a chance to fix the problem.
